Community Health and Wellness

Eight Dimensions of Wellness Program-- THE SELFIE PROJECT

PHYSICAL DIMENSION -At Above Reproach Community Wellness, we believe that health is wealth. Having a strong, healthy body is the first step in your wellness journey. Join our weekly runs and group workouts, where we train together for races and epic events like HYROX and the Publix Half Marathon. Experience true camaraderie, improved fitness, and a supportive environment dedicated to helping every member reach their goals.

SOCIAL DIMENSION -  Social wellness focuses on building healthy, supportive relationships and feeling connected to others. It includes communication skills, respect, empathy, and the ability to set boundaries.  It also involves recognizing which relationships energize you and which drain you. Healthy social habits create a sense of belonging and improve emotional and mental well-being.

EMOTIONAL DIMENSION - Emotional wellness involves understanding your feelings, expressing them appropriately, and coping with challenges in healthy ways. It means recognizing what you feel, why you feel it, and how to respond rather than react. People with strong emotional wellness can manage stress, build self-awareness, and show empathy toward others. It also includes self-acceptance and resilience—the ability to recover from setbacks and grow through experiences rather than being defined by them.

 INTELLECTUAL DIMENSION -

Intellectual wellness is about engaging your mind through learning, creativity, and curiosity. It includes exploring new ideas, thinking critically, and being open to different perspectives. When you practice intellectual wellness, you challenge yourself to grow, ask questions, and expand your understanding of the world. This dimension isn’t just about school—it’s about staying mentally active, adaptable, and willing to try new things even when they feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable.

 OCCUPATIONAL DIMENSION -

Occupational wellness focuses on satisfaction, balance, and growth in your work or career path. It includes using your skills, feeling valued, and finding meaning in what you do. This dimension is about more than a paycheck—it’s about alignment between your strengths, interests, and responsibilities. Healthy occupational wellness encourages development, creativity, and balance so that work supports your life rather than draining your energy or identity.

ENVIRONMENTAL DIMENSION -  Environmental wellness focuses on how your surroundings affect your mood, focus, and health. It includes your physical spaces—like your home, school, or workplace—as well as your impact on the natural world. This dimension is about creating environments that feel safe, clean, and supportive. When your environment supports your well-being, it becomes easier to think clearly, manage stress, and show respect for both yourself and the world around you.

FINANCIAL DIMENSION -  Financial wellness is about managing money in a way that reduces stress and supports your goals. It includes budgeting, saving, spending wisely, and understanding how your choices impact your future. This dimension isn’t about being rich—it’s about being informed, intentional, and prepared. When financial wellness is strong, you feel more secure, less anxious, and more empowered to make decisions that support both your needs and long-term stability.

SPIRITUAL DIMENSION -  Spiritual wellness is about having a sense of purpose, values, and meaning in life. It doesn’t require religion—it’s about understanding what matters most to you and how you want to live. This dimension includes reflection, gratitude, integrity, and alignment between your actions and your beliefs. When your spiritual wellness is strong, you feel grounded and guided by your values, even when life feels uncertain or challenging.
